Still Life: Bobby Orr and the Big, Bad Bruins

Uncovered this old book of Bobby Orr, a found object from the crawl space.  It  invokes images of watching, “number four”,  skating up the ice, deke his opponents, score a game winning goal.

I’ll never forget the goal he scored in 1970–an image of him flying through the air–as he scored the game winning goal in the 1970 Stanley Cup final, a goal that won the Stanley Cup for the Boston Bruins. They would not win the cup again,  until 40 years later, in 2011.
