Installation: Sustenance and Rest

A stranger abandoned the glass of water on this chair and then walked away. I  thought the image was interesting, certainly extraordinary–a silver chair and a plastic glass of water. It reminded me of  an art installation that you see at a Gallery or Art magazine. And so,  I snapped the photograph.

The chair symbolizes ” rest” or “taking a break”, while the water represents” quenching thirst” or ” nourishing the body.”

In reality, it is not an installation, which is constructed by the artist. The chair and the glass of water are  just a found objects at the Distillery District in Toronto.
